This is my First Grub Splash Image, The image fit perfects, not loose colors, i think is pretty splashimage for kubuntu users, to install it:

cp ksi.xpm.gz /boot/grub/splashimages/
then.. add to your menu.lst:
splashimage (hd0,1)/boot/grub/splashimages/ksi.xpm.gz

Replace hd0,1 for your own settings, good bye
