I found the [?] button imagery a bit confusing, but the rest of it is clear and plain perfect even for newbies.
Consider a gear or something implying "processing, changing, setting up" function for the [?] button (I assume it's the settings button, right?).

The tab-design and buttons where used from konsole - so the praise belongs to the designers from konsole ^^
You are right - the "?" button was somewhat silly. I replaced it by a "c" (configuration) button. Think it's a lot more intuitive.
