Boot screen theme for Linux Mint.

A new Linux Mint logo.

This theme is based on the standard Linux Mint theme. Only the logo has changed. I created a new version of the Linux Mint logo and replaced the other one. I changed it here, on this boot screen, and for the menu icon, and also for my Grub theme: the Sunshine-LinuxMint. The menu icon is included here with this boot screen, while the Grub theme can be downloaded separately.

I proposed this new logo to the Linux Mint team and community. I do not know if it will become official one day, but I could not wait, so I integrated it everywhere on my computer. And I made this work available to you...

You have the choice between an automatic or manual installation:

AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION...

Click on Files tab. There, click on PlymouthTm-MintLogo-v3.zip to download.
Open this zip. There, select the PlymouthTm-MintLogo-v3 folder. Extract (unzip) this folder.
In this newly extracted folder, double-click on INSTALLER to Run in Terminal.

... OR MANUAL INSTALLATION

Click on Files tab. There, click on PlymouthTm-MintLogo-v3.zip to download.
Open this zip. There, select the PlymouthTm-MintLogo-v3 folder. Extract (unzip) this folder.
Open the PlymouthTm-MintLogo-v3 folder to select the inner mint-logo-v3 folder and copy this folder into the /usr/share/plymouth/themes/ folder.
Open your Terminal and run the following commands:
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/share/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /usr/share/plymouth/themes/mint-logo-v3/mint-logo-v3.plymouth 200
sudo update-alternatives --set default.plymouth /usr/share/plymouth/themes/mint-logo-v3/mint-logo-v3.plymouth
sudo update-initramfs -u
