Hi, it looks promising, but there seem to be little bugs... 1) First the Add Editor window does scale properly (res. 1024x768). When maximized I see only half of the buttons (Select etc.). The name of the book could be taken automatically from the file name?! 20 000 books, did you type all book names?! 2) Add icon on toolbar does not seem to work, I can do add Dir&files etc from Edit menu or from the popup menu (appering when doing a right click on Selector), but not when clicking on the toolbar icon. 3) If adding a file and accidently clicking on OK without entering author, name & genre, I get an empty line in Selector tab, which is rather pointless. So I check&warning routine for Add Editor perhaps?! 4) chm viewing does not seem to work... I also have xchm installed, and it works fine on all my chm manuals... perhaps I'm missing something... regards, iges
1) a) Sorry, but i do not understand your problem... :( b) I can add guess feature in next release. 2) Try to push down mouse button and wait for a sec... Not just click. 3) In next release... 4) Strange... It does not work from ReadeR or from konqueror? And what it says?
1) I meant to say "does not scale". When maximized on res 1024x768 the right side of the Add Editor window is not completely visible. This seems to only happen to Add Editor window, the main window (ReadeR) maximizes just fine. 2) sorry about that, stupid me ;) 3) Tried in Konqueror and get error: Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'ms-its'. Tried several chm-s with the same result.
reader 0.0.1 depend of the xpdf? Which are the dependences of reader 0.o.1?
ReadeR does not depend on xpdf. Some parts of xpdf included in distribution of ReadeR.
the name of the file could be reader-0.0.1.tar.gz mv reader.tar.gz reader-0.0.1.tar.gz ;-) nice app... thanks!
But kpdf in KDE 3.4 is already an advanced pdf viewer. But I appreciate chm file reading for sure!
kde-3.4? What is this? :) I started this project more than year ago, and at that time kpdf war really ugly :) BTW: thanx.
Also you shouldn't put Berkeley DB in source tarball. It makes tarball oversized.
I can explain this. When i try using system version of this libraries(chm, bz2, db,...) i get really strange segfaults. I discovered that this is happen because of different compilation options(for example _REENTRANT, FILE_OFFSET_BITS... and so on)... And I decided to put all this libraries in my tree and compile them with the same options.
And, this is NOT a file viewer, this is a database AND a viewer for different kind of documents...
