He made the mistake of asking for an XEyes-like utility based one the fine faces of the members of the KDE e.V. board, on a day I was bored.
KEyes henceforth happened.
It's an XEyes-like utility. It features KDE e.V. board members. It's so useless it's not even funny. It's also kind of creepy, especially if, like me, you sometimes have text editors open on code you definitely don't want Aaron J. Seigo ogling.
How to use:
1) Make sure you have Python, Qt 4 and PyQt 4 installed. 2) Unpack the KEyes archive somewhere. 3) Run KEyes.py. 4) Run screaming.
Hilarious stuff! You know, if you defined a straight line for each image that bisected the mouth, you could have the dudes speaking, South Park-style! Eventually, we could have an Akregator plugin that monitored planetkde.org and whenever aseigo (or whomever) posted a blog entry, their representative could wander on screen and "read" the summary to you!
A chilling vision of things to come :)
Heh, that'd be cool :)
though, the text-to-speech engines would be required :)
And this thingie (as plasmoid too) could be even configured to use RSS feed's avatar if there's no avatar distributed with it :P Though, the mouth line would be somewhat really tricky to implemet (unless, again, cusomizable by user)

He will like it :P
I'd prefer Konqui, because it's the official KDE mascot. But even more I'd like to see tackat as inofficial mascot... ;-)
