what you see in my screenshot is one full-size panel. the background is transparent. the task-manager itself expands within the panel, filling the empty space.
So, if you have many icons the tasklist will stretch, right?
yes, when the panel is full, the individual task buttons shrink but the screenshot is a bit misleading because it is a very low screen resolution (just for demonstration purposes) with tasks from the same application being grouped i would have to have about 10 different applications open before that happens if you need i guess you could use a separate horizontal panel only for the task manger, like i did in this screenshot: https://cdn.pling.com/img/f/f/7/7/7a74d8fde8b0c8ab6c80827cdf66b3a48fbf.png
