04/21/23 - V1.1: Should install through KDE

What: KDE Plasma Splash Screen animation of a classic Mac booting. I did the simple animation in mini-vmac.

Resolution: The GIF is in 1920x1200 but animates on screen at 1280x1024. You can change the resolution to meet your needs by editing the file: MacBoot/contents/splash/Splash.qml file.

Test Drive: Open a terminal and type: ksplashqml --test --window MacBoot

Where: Copy the MacBoot folder to $HOME/.local/share/plasma/look-and-feel/

Settings: KDE System Settings --> Appearance --> Global Theme --> Splash Screen to set MacBoot
