Description: Displays a read strip around the mouse. The main purpose is to help focusing attention on the zone of the screen where the pointer is located. This is an aid for improving attention-related or color perception issues when working with a computer. For install uncompress the tar.gz and install with kpackagetool5 (kpackagetool5 --install /path/to/uncompressed_folder)
After enabled the strip visibility could be toggled with Ctrl+Meta+M
If color chooser is not working please install libkf5widgetsaddons-dev on Ubuntu/Debian or equivalent in another distro.
*** NOTE: For changes to be applied is needed to disable and re-enable the effect. It'll fixed soon but for now...Last changelog:

Hi there. Thanks for the report. I've added a note because I forgot to comment that, effectively, "apply" doesn't work for the moment. As for the second issue I don't understand it very well. I'll install fedora 38, as I tested this with ubuntu, and give it a try
Hey I appreciate the quick response. After fidgeting enough with kde plasma. it loaded the color changes. I noticed the read aid effect is only applied to the primary screen regardless of current cursor position or focus. I'd personally like the option to extend Read aid across all screens, as it truly helps in reading long CSVs and network logs.

Thanks for the image! If i've enough free time this week I'll add extra screens - and hopefully fix the apply issue - it should be easy to do (last time I said something similar it took some weeks and a lot of caffeine xD)
Hi again and sorry for the insistence. I've uploaded a new release that should address the "only at primary screen issue". I've no external monitor so I tested this with my TV but different screen resolutions are a mess, however it seems that is working. Also as it uses the primary screen for reference all screens must be horizontally alligned at systemsettings->hardware-> screen configuration
