10The best Dolphin Context Menu Service Provider by a mile! The only thing keeping me from rating it a perfect 10 is that I'd like to see the list of services updated more frequently; whether to add new services or to remove any that may have shuttered or otherwise become less useful. Also, and this may not be achievable with the KDE menus, etc., but the capability to not only toggle individual services but manually sort them (including nesting and unnesting within folders) would be extremely helpful!
edit - rating changed from 9 to 10 after reading geobarrod's reply to zeddock re: working 3 jobs and that being the reason keeping him from developing/maintaining the package as much as he'd like to. I'd still REALLY appreciate the 2nd request made above but I didn't want to dock KDE-Services' rating over it. Not after realizing that the amazing job its dev has done was while juggling 3 jobs.
Yes, I very much agree, the project needs to be renewed, make some deep changes (the most important is allowing it to be installed from the Dolphin services installer). I would love to be able to assure you that these changes will come soon, but I am still very busy with my jobs. I hope to be able to update it more frequently starting with the new version of KDE Plasma 6, which according to its developers will be released in February of next year. I am very happy to know that it is still useful; That is the goal, to obtain a desktop environment that is as functional as possible using low hardware resources. Thanks very much for rate up. Hello, I have been been working on the KDE Store integration for dolphin and wanted to ask you to change your product:
1. When installing the plugin from the "Dolphin Services" dialog the installation does not work. Please add install/uninstall scripts that install these plugins locally without sudo privileges. The Makefile is not recognized.
2. Please also consider adding "TryExec=" lines to some of the services. For instance I don't have mc installed, but the service menu still shows up. Same for a few others.
3. Maybe adding a deb package? The integration works really great from the "Dolphin Services" dialog.
4. I don't think we you need to install the files to the old kde4 locations anymore^^
When that is fixed you might get another 10 ;-)

How can I remove empty/unused context menus? I do not use Mega at all, I disabled the services but the menu is still there.
Did you disable the menu services in the configuration of Dolphin filemanager?
