Hi Giuseppe I´m using kde-service-menu-pdf_2.3_all.deb, installed with GDebi (KDE Plasma 5.18). I have ignored Live-Text package issue. Service menu has been installed but Discover want to update live-tex every time when system update. (I have not installed live-tex, just Mik-Tex). Thanks for the response. Johnny
Dear Giuseppe, Please resolve the dependence on the Text-Live package, if possible. I have installed MikTex and Tex-Live has a problem to be installed on it (i.e., when KDE service menu is installed from .deb). I would like to kindly ask you to add the menu item "Embed Fonts (to PDF file)" (and "Show fonts") - very useful. It is simple command: gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=${file}_FONTS-EMBEDDED.pdf ${file}.pdf ("pdffonts my_file.pdf" - to show fonts) Thanks for the response. Johnny
Hi johnny007, which version of the service menu do you use? Giuseppe Benigno

Instead of using pdftk, you'll need to use qpdf. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to it working again soon!
Hi LanceHaverkamp, thanks for the great suggestion. My regards Giuseppe Benigno

To be able to Optimize document (default, screen, ebook, printer, prepress) with ghostscript, you can remove in ghostscript_kmenu.sh these parameters: -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 or you'll get an Error: Can't set GraphicsAlphaBits or TextAlphaBits with a vector device
Thanks for this very useful service menu. Installed in my System: Kernel: 3.14.4-2.g0de0f93-desktop x86_64 (64 bit) Desktop: KDE 4.13.1 Distro: openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle
Thanks for this very useful service menu. Is it possible to extract non contiguous pages with PDFtk submenu? Because I could only extract a range, eg. 7-11, but could not page 7, and 9-11. Is this a shortcoming of your service menu, or simply I did not know the right syntax to give the range?
Hi, I'm sorry but you can't do it, at moment. You need do it in two step. Thanks Giuseppe Benigno
Definitely one of the most useful service menus, after preparing some stamp files for pdftk, I use this a lot. Also repaginate is something I very often need as well as burst and join. All work flawlessly on Debian Wheezy KDE 4.8. Great work, thank you.
Hi all, I'm sorry for long time of absence. Work and other take all my time. For now the site is www.egregorion.net A good info: early you can install from repositories of debian/kubuntu directly. Thank you to all. Giuseppe Benigno
Hej all, I found out that the file is still there, just under another link: www.egregorion.net/works/kde/servicemenus/pdf/servicemenu-pdf_0.4-kde4.tar.gz
The downloads for me are not working anymore.
The links to all of the source and install files are broken.
please fix this. I loved to have this servicemenu!
I have quite a few issues with KDE 4.8 SC2 - the selection order doesn't seem to work anymore, instead it's sorted by filenames - combining pdfs often results in nothing
I encountered that converting pdf2djvu with presets dpi600 or dpi300 do nothing. Although Custom and Advanced presets work. By slightly modifying dvi option handling in a shell script i get this to work.
Thank you, I've fixed it and added it in the next version. Bye Giuseppe Benigno
FYI I have extended the module to print multiple pdf's
