Or: tar -xvjpf plasma-applet-paneltoggle-0.2.tar.bz2 cd plasma-applet-paneltoggle-0.2/ mkdir build cd build cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$(kde4-config --prefix) .. make sudo make install kbuildsycoca4Last changelog:
I just made a hacky script to do that
kwin script that toggle panel
https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1266534/
We can also add more feature to a panel by setting it up in (KDE System Settings - Window Manager - Window Rules - New - Detect Window Properties "And select your pannel"
I think it might be making the panel unresponsive (sometimes and for a few seconds, eg clicking anything on the panel has a delayed action). Does it happen to anyone else?
It seems that sometimes after the login the applet fails to detects that it runs on a panel (maybe if it loads before the panel?).
Is it possible to fix it?

Would there be a way to compile/update this widget for KDE5 ?

New plasmoid button to toggle the panel https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1269113/
it's really useful with the options (cover, autohide,..) and the shortcut now works too. very nice!

nevermind. It was another plasmoid.
Just a suggestion: it might be worthwhile to explain in the description exactly what the plasmoid does.
new version is even better! I love the option to set your own icons and option and the rest of improvements. Good job.

Its fixed in the next release (this week) :) sorry for late response...
Awesome!
Thanks! Works great, but would it be possible to add the option of having the arrow embedded into the systray rather than as a separate widget?
Simply, but very useful if working normally on a small screen and sometimes on a large screen. Thanks.
So simple yet so useful! Works like a charm (Fedora 16 + KDE 4.8.1). Thank you :-).
Been waiting for someone to make this for a long time. Thank you!
