Let me get this straight, you removed two of the best X Cursor themes on this site because they weren't rated high enough? Personally I use Justwhite more then I do blue, and I also think justwhite was designed better... it's more flush!!! Please put them back...
Try changing the file name that the theme is installed to default. ie ~/.icons/default(theme would be in this folder) Then edit the index.theme file like the last person suggested. It worked for me, good luck.
I tried to remove and reinstall, tried the script, and the KDE 3.2 installer, and in every case - I see the standard mouse cursor, and the "busy", the move and the textinput, but all other cursors dont work (the resize and wait cursors, the ?cursor, etc) it should work, shoulnt it??? any idea what's wrong?
try to install it manually: copy archive to ~/.icons folder, cd to ~/.icons , then unpack archive - tar jxf NNNN-justblue-0.21.tar.bz2 , mv justblue-0.21 justblue , cd default , and put into index.theme [Icon Theme] Inherits=justblue restart X-server
i think they are really great but somehow everyone makes everything blue and i can't im getting bored... could you do a green one? or could you tell me how to do one or change yours ( if it is even authorized to do so?) the white/grey one is nice but i really like green and im not sure what kind of green i woudl like i wanted to know if it is hard to change the colour of such a set. thx for the great cursors
Done :)) Green mouse theme "JustGreen"
thx i think its really great i was busy latel so i did nor notice sooner...
Hooray for the xterm cursor!!! :) IMO, this cursor theme is now the best there is.
to the maker of this wonderfull theme i'd like to say: you've done a great job!!! its really amazing, and it got even better... thanx and please continue!!!
i really really like this cursor set....if it weren't for that $#%%$%@%@^@&@% blinking text cursor. oh my that is annoying. drop that and this will be the best set I've seen:)
well, its not really proffesional, but its... well, what to say. I like it, its something - different. makes it shine ;-) but I whoulnt disagree with removal, either.
Hi, this is a cool theme. I don't like the new xterm cursor, though. So I switched back to the old one. Keep on the good work.
These are super cool... but damn, why so big? They _look_ great, but the feel like they were made by FisherPrice[tm]... Any way to get a smaller version? Using these with a tiny resolution looks and feels pretty awkard.
Thank you very much for providing compatibility with KDE 3.2's Cursor Theme installer.
I just switched, and will continue using this wonderfull theme... but will you please include more cursors? like those used when you move things around, resize, etc etc etc? thanks!
Can anyone get these to work in SuSE 9 because they dont work, SuSE seem to change things around with every version.
I like them. Especially the hand and the yin-yang clock. Thank you! :)
Hey, what have you done with the previous xterm cursor? The one that had barely noticeable letters 'a' and 'e' in it? It looked really neat, it was the best cursor imo. No offence, but the new blinking text-selection/xterm cursor looks extremely ugly.
So where can we download JustWhite?
I noticed some posts above saying the hand needs to be reworked? I think the hand looks great! I did noticed that the spin(s) is/are off center a bit (they kinda whooble). I was wondering, do you think you could make a release in another color, something more universal. Like a shade of off white or something on the greyish side. thanx!
It doesn't install! I had to go to the command line in order to install it, not a nice thing considering KDE has a mouse theme installer. Would you mind creating a KDE-compatible package?
There is an alternative method which I follow to install the cursors system-wide. It is much simpler to follow. Open-up the package in Konq-. Open a root Konq- side by side and open up the /usr/share/icons or whatever you have. Drag the mouse theme folder to the icons folder. Cursors are installed. Now to activate edit the text file index.theme [Icon Theme] Inherits=####### here put the cursor theme containing folder's name. Done.
For KDE users, however, it would be much more practical to launch KControl then go to "Peripherals"->"Mouse"->"Mouse Themes" and then click on "Install new theme...". We just need compatible packages.
Whoa! The transparency looks soooooo good! Especially the text-selection cursor, it's just awesome!
Really good-looking! Time to say "Good-bye!" to Crystal cursors :) And, I think the hand looks just great.
