Neutral Plus
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
I replaced the old "watch" -- a circle with moving dots -- for the "watching cursor" with the normal "watch" (little moving circles) of the Neutral theme and replaced the white hands with black ones.
The first picture shows the modifications, picture 2 shows the whole range. You will notice that it is, barring the modifications, identical to the normal Neutral theme.
The original artwork was licensed under Artistic 2.0 and so this one is too. I hope i fullfilled all restrictions as imposed by the license. If not, mail me and i will take care of it.
Update to 1.0b: i just realized that i uploaded an older package with rough edges and stray pixels. I now uploaded the real final version, which is much cleaner. To distinguish it from the previous upload it is designated version 1.0b.
Update to 1.1:
* Cleaned up the hand cursors.
* Corrected the shadows on the left_ptr_watch files.
* Added a Changes_to_Neutral file to comply with the Artistic 2.0 license.
Update to 1.1b:
* Corrected a one pixel drop in frames 3 and 4 of left_prt_watch.
Update to 1.1c:
* Corrected animation errors in frames 6, 7 and 8 of left_ptr_watch.
Update to 1.2:
* Fixed the index.theme file to read "Cursor Theme" instead of "Icon Theme". Theme now runs under Gnome 2.18 without a hitch.
Bugs? Problems?
If there are any ugly glitches or other stuff that slipped my attention, please post them here. I will try to fix them.

My desktop environment (LXDE) needs the section "[Icon Theme]" instead of "[Cursor Theme]".
Sorry, I meant it needs the section in the index.theme file.
There's a part of shadow missing under arrow in left_ptr_watch
Nice cursor theme. The old one (I don't know if your the author) is my default cursor theme. Good work.
Thank you! The original Neutral theme was designed by Alexey Nikitine. I just changed the pointer watch to make it more consistent in look & feel. I use Neutral Plus since I first made it, too. It is the best you can get for bright themes. But obviously I'm biased ;) For darker themes I sometimes use Industrial or the new Shere Khan cursor set. Both are very nice, too.
I found a serious bug in this: the Theme appears as Icon-Theme in Gnome. When choosing it, the whole System crashes. Please change the Line "Icon Theme" in your index.theme to "Cursor Theme". Thanks!
Thank you for your report. Somewhere in between I must have fixed this but did not upload. I'm still a happy Neutral Plus user ;)
Well, it's me again with a bug report: The "watching cursor" circles are shifted one pixel down in the 3rd and 4th frame of the animation.
Yes, i see it. I am all over it right now.
Another tiny bug in this cursor theme: there is a black pixel between the first and the second finger from the right of the "fleur" cursor.
Actually it is very dark grey ;-) Thanks for pointing it out, i'll write it on the to do list. Keep your "bug reports" coming!
I like this cursor theme, and your modification aiming at consistency -- except it is inconsistent: "moving circles" in the "watching cursor" cast their shadows above and left instead of below and right.
You're right. That's because i'm a lazy ass and just tilted the image by 180 degrees. I guess i will deal with it at the end of the week, before that i have little time :-(
I really like this little mod. Well done.
