Description: Vertex is a theme for GTK 3, GTK 2, Gnome-Shell and Cinnamon. It supports GTK 3 and GTK 2 based desktop environments like Gnome, Cinnamon, Mate, XFCE, Budgie, Pantheon, etc. Themes for the Browsers Chrome/Chromium and Firefox are included, too.
The theme comes with three variants to choose from. The default variant with dark header-bars, a light variant, and a dark variant.
last supported version of GTK is 3.22 but you can create a symlink to "port" this theme to GTK 3.24:
ln -sn 3.22 common/gtk-3.0/3.24
ln -sn 3.22 common/gnome-shell/3.24
i did this, then built the theme and it works

One question though: Is the Cinnamon panel supposed to be darker than all the GTK and Metacity elements?
I just meant you shouldn’t count on the author to answer your question, but you piqued my curiosity, I’ll build it and see how it looks. I also run on Cinnamon DE.
Yeah, I dunno how I built it in the past, but I had a built version that was working, last time I tested it on Mint 20.1. I foolishly deleted my backed-up copy and can't rebuild it now.
1010 the best - While not maintained, very thorough, still very good, excellent work and still useful. Horst3180 is still actively around out there...
Vertex Dark was my first gtk3 theme on 3.18.

yeah, but it still works. If you download the built version, even from github, it doesn't.

Can't build on Mint 20.1. Gnome version is 3.24 while 3.22 max is supported. I'll try to build on Debian stable.
Same Gnome version, so no build possible.

This theme is mostly abandoned, I suggest searching another one or learning GTK3
