++ Installing ++
To install, downloaded the tar.gz, open it and extract the folder of your preferred theme into your ~/.themes folder (if your home directoy does not have a .themes folder, create one). Then open your desktops Appearance Manager to select the theme.
+ Appearance Managers
- XFCE: xfce4-appearance-settings (for Theme/Controls)
- XFCE: xfwm4-settings (for Window Border)
- LXDE: lxappearance (for Theme/Controls)
- LXDE/Openbox: obconf (for Window Border)
+ Theme Directory is located at /home/USERNAME/.themes
----------------------------------------------------------
++ Configure ++
You can modify the colors and change some styles in the /home/USERNAME/.themes/victory-gtk-theme/gtk-3.20/gtk.css file. Open that file and you can change the colors. At the bottom you can uncomment lines for various custom styles that will affect certain applications or parts of the theme (hopefully more styles to be added later). For example, in Thunar you can change the pathbar to show only the pathbar (and hide the buttons), or show the pathbar and only the Back and Forward buttons (hiding Up and Home).

++ Other Projects ++
I have two other Icon Themes on here, I'm sorry they haven't been updated in some time but still should work okay. They are the icons being used in the preview pictures and some people asked where to get them so I will link them below.

10 It looks beautiful...
10 Wow, that is an amazing theme! There are not many flat themes that have a unique character and originality. This one does have. Thank you!
I love these themes (icon and GTK). I have only one issue with it. They look a little washed-off on the screen (like they need a little more darkening). The graysneed more presence. The concept its perfect
Thank you! You can edit the Gtk theme if you go into the victory theme folder, the gtk-3.20 folder, and edit the gtk.css. That file holds all the colors and I tried to make it to where if you change a color there it will change everywhere. So you can darken the grays or borders or anything! After editing, save it, and unselect/reselect the theme and you should see the changes!
I find that it looks right on some machines (washed on some others). This might have something to do with brand/spec of displays. Something else seems more nagging. It is that this theme has no effect on Claws-mail app. The lightweight email client still takes its boring default look. Why is that?
Please ignore this. An update fixed this ... had nothing to do with the theme
8 8 great

9 + Really nice and smooth theme
You should change the category from GTK2 to GTK3, by putting this theme into 2, users that fiter on gtk3 (most) don't see it.

How do I get mine to look like the first picture clean without all the borders? Can I do it on xfce? thanks
In that picture I'm just using the default Victory Gtk Theme. I'm using Thunar. You can hide the menubar with Cltr+M or under View uncheck the Menubar. For the sidebar, you can right click on a title (Places, Devices, Network, etc) and select which icons to hide or show. Hope that helps!
I do not have scrollbars in firefox and thunderbird when using 16.10
That was fixed in the 17.04 version, try victory-gtk-theme-master-2017-09.zip. Let me know if you still have problems. Thanks!
Lovely theme!
The theme looks great in mint 18.2 cinnamon, but there is a problem and is that the screen goes blank, I mean the wallpaper disappears, is there any way to fix it ?, thanks
I'm really not sure why this would happen. Can you change the wallpaper after the theme is applied? And does it happen with any other themes that you know of? I don't use Cinnamon so maybe you could ask on the Mint forums because I really don't know how to troubleshoot that. If you find any more info let me know, meanwhile I'll take a look at it next time I work on it. Thanks!
Hi, thanks for answering. After applying the theme I can not change the wallpaper, simply the screen goes blank, and this problem has not come up with any other theme
There's a small issue with buttons in gtk3 for me: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1wOhkjJBMXfZ0JmbWJyd19tRDA/view?usp=drivesdk
9 Very nice. I wish the variants had matching gtk3 versions though
Hey, I updated the theme a bit. The variants now having matching Gtk3 versions in apps that use the Menubar (File, View, etc). And I'll work on that Button issue you posted for 17.10. Thanks for the comments!
I installed your theme and so far it's my favorite except for this bug i encountered in menus, also happens in the file browser menu. See pic https://imgur.com/a/ngADy I already tried adding the lines to gtk-widgets.css like you suggestedd below
Nevermind, I fixed it. I was missing the necessary engine.
