Why should you try this layout?
1. Our eyes focus only the top left region of the screen most of the time. This may cause fatigue. With this layout, we focus on all the four corners of the screen. So there is less stress on our eyes.
2. Most applications have their toolbar buttons in the top left portion. Having the panel to left adds more buttons. Too many buttons cramped into a small region may not be easy to navigate. This layout can help avoid such issues.
